It's earlier than I'd have gone, but the earlier the better. It'll be manic today.

Someone turned up at 4.45 to buy an extra season ticket or two?

Are they mental or still smashed from going out last night?

I didn't say otherwise but they are the ones who stump up their cash in advance of the season without even knowing who they will be watching.

you can still be a loyal fan and not have a st you know

Re: Additional season tickets for existing holders - likely demand
Season tickets would be a thing of the past on what basis? To be replaced by?

ST are the loyal fans who stump up early without knowing what they are paying for. If they want renewals early for the next couple of seasons to help THEM out with their numbers then they should reduce prices for those able to renew in full. Things should work both ways.

Yes I know there was no guarantee, how could there be? If you have say 6000 tickets available and 10,000 people join the list but people would have joined in the understanding they had a chance

The rules and how they were going to sell any remaining tickets should have been made clear and there should have been an option for members to upgrade before Joe Public paying a tenner.

They need to look at things like this because it's a fuck up, they need to do things better and top of my list would be the allocation of FA Cup tickets.

Don't need to take as much money do they?

Why not £10 or £25?

As whuffy says below. And the 20% is to make sure that the people who say they're going to buy an ST actually buy an ST. It allows them to plan ahead.

*again, not saying I agree*

As shit as it is, it's all down to logistics - mainly ticketing.

I want to make it clear that I do NOT agree with this at all, but people joining the waiting list were made aware that there was no guarantee of anything, and that the worst-case scenario is that they'd join the OS waiting list - they do still get that.

Johnson - from what I understand, they just want the money in the bank. The more the better, but there's no guarantee with matchday sales.

I very much doubt that Penners. This is simply they wanted next season done and dusted by the end of May so they can crack on with the difficult task of trying to fill the OS and sell us seats we have to pay 20% on for the season after next in the coming months.

Re: Additional season tickets for existing holders - likely demand
You're right Johnson

I went to a fans forum not long after they took over and they had some numpty there that said in a few years season tickets would be a thing of the past.

I enjoyed ripping into him with the very same point that they simply didn't want me as a fan because outside of the actual ticket I spend very little on the club and they would prefer some tourist paying more for the seat and spending a load of his money on shit food, programs & club shop tat.

I like plenty of what G&S have done but they are far from perfect and that is mostly on the ticket front.

Re: Additional season tickets for existing holders - likely demand
I think we have a cash flow problem. wanting tickets renewed early, deposits, waiting list money,no more kit left in April...

Johnson 12:47 Fri Apr 17
Re: Additional season tickets for existing holders - likely demand
'Croe - I agree, these people will be pissed off and in truth I probably don't give much of a fuck about them just as I don't the cunts who will come out the woodwork and show up when we move JUST because we've moved and they think we'll win things.

At Brum they fucked off STH's loads and the numbers dwindled off, I think they see "discounted" seats such as STs populated by people who won't be spending £50 a week in the club shop as an inconvenience - rather have one-time visitors paying full whack and spending in the shop I reckon.

I agree, I'm alright jack as well.........

However they didn't mention to anyone that they we going to allow up to about 40000 people to jump them in the queue when they announced this scam.

That's just plain wrong

I reckon most people will have a mate who is an ST and will use them as a route through to buy them.
